I bought this lock at a flea market in Chang Mai, Thailand and it is supposedly from Tibet. The lock is bronze of a brazed construction and has two leaves which hold the lock shut.  The key compresses the leaves when it is inserted, allowing the lock to be opened. The lock is 1 3/4" long.
