This Sundial was made to be both a sculptural and a functional piece of garden art. The dial face is incised with roman numerals to tell the time. The gnomon is forge-welded to the dial face support. The sundial is riveted to the base plate.   The sundial stands 50” tall and is forged from mild steel. The sundial won first place at the Southern Ohio Forge Association Conference in September 2005. (Next to the biennial National Blacksmith Conference, SOFA is the largest blacksmithing conference in the US.)
