This is a 17th-18th Century hand forged baroque lock from Southern Germany. It is incised with floral patterns and has some low relief repousse on the sheet metal. It is interesting that the lock is so ornately decorated because it appears to be a for the inside of a closet. It is 10 1/2" long.
