This magnificent curtain rod holder reputedly came out of a mansion in Butler, Pa that was built in the 1930's. To make the back plate the profile was chiseled out,  the thickness was forged down accordingly, the scrolls have a twist in them to change the plane of thick and wide metal. Lines were fullered  into the loop before it was rolled up. The loop is riveted to the back plate. The curtain rod holder is 4 1/2" wide and 10" Long.
