This gate was made for the entrance to a cold cellar at a house near Allentown, PA.  It is constructed using slit and drifted holes and mortise & tenons.

The fleur de'lis is made from 4 pieces of metal that have been forge welded together. In this picture you can also see the slit and drifted holes with the bars passing through them.
